Footpath 31: The Parish Council have made application to Wiltshire Council Rights of Way Office under section 53 Wildlife and Countryside Act to issue a Definitive Map Modification Order to re-instate on a slightly different line to avoid going through gardens in Leigh Road the part of Footpath 31  was closed in October 2014. Our application was backed up by witness statements and the case is currently being investigated. JUNE 2016 – Wiltshire ROW Office have indicated that our application has been successful and that a DMMO will be put in place for this footpath – update as below

December 2016

Unfortunately an objection to the making or the order was not withdrawn and the matter was an Agenda Item at the Western Area Planning Board on Wednesday 14 December 2016. The Parish Council made representation and Wiltshire Council unanimously agreed to support the application when it goes to the Secretary of State for a final decision. June 2017 final touches being put to document to be sent to Secretary of State
October 2017 – Confirmation from Secretary of State that a hearing will be held in the next 11 months where both sides are able to put their case in an informal setting without any legal representation.

November 2017

Communication from Secretary of State that Informal hearing will be held on 14 March 2018 in the upstairs room of the Village Hall commencing 10am

March 2016 – Improvements to FP 16/25 completed. Works to improve access on F. Paths round the Glove Factory .

Path Improvement Grant Scheme (PIGS): The Parish Council have been successful in their bid for matched funding to replace the stile on Footpath 48 . Kissing Gate installed December 2015
