The My Wiltshire App is available to members of the public wishing to report a problem – e.g. a street light that isn’t working, fly tipping, a pot hole, etc. It can be downloaded from the Wiltshire Council website and is very easy to use.
If you would prefer to report things to me, I am still happy to pass your request to Wiltshire Council.
Until recently all green waste bins supplied by Wiltshire Council in West Wiltshire were 240 litre capacity, however, the new bins now being supplied are 180 litre in line with the size of bins in other parts of the County. The charge for green waste collection is the same for all sizes. The reduction in the size of the bins is not shown on the Wiltshire Council website when ordering a new one.
I a major step forward, the Holt Neighbourhood Plan has entered its final consutation stage. Details of the consultation may be found at http://consult.wiltshire.gov.uk/portal/spatial_planning/np/holt_np/holt_neighbourhood_plan. Following this consultation, the comments received will be passed to an independent examiner, to be appointed by Wiltshire Council, who will consider the representations and determine if the plan should be put to a community referendum. The consultation ends on 28 October 2015.
The Parish Council will be walking all the footpaths in Holt over the summer holidays – this is to ensure that they remain open and accessible. The Ramblers are also undertaking a national FPath survey which you can get involved in and help report any problems. Further details of The Big Pathwatch can be found here
Wiltshire Council’s Wiltshire Online programme are pleased to inform you that fibre broadband has been brought to Holt . Further details are available here
Gladman Developments Ltd lodged appeal reference APP/Y3940/W/15/3063775 on 10 July against Wiltshire Council’s refusal of outline planning permission for up to 98 dwellings on land south of Melksham Road Holt.
The final draft of the Neighbourhood Plan has been submitted to Wiltshire Council. It can be viewed or downloaded from the Neighbourhood Plan page to the left of this notice.

The Parish Council has recently been approached by a Landhold Capital Ltd who have purchased 2 fields to the east of Leigh Road. A map, their proposal and the PC response can be found here.
