The results of the 2016 Survey are published under the footpaths section of this website
May we appeal to drivers to consider pedestrians and buggy users when parking on the roadside. The incidence of vehicles obstructing pavements is happening more and more often in the Village. Whilst it is appreciated that on road parking is nearly at saturation point and that the roads are narrow in places, it is inconsiderate and unacceptable to park in such a way that pedestrians and buggy users are forced into the road.
Please think before parking on the pavement!
A resident has expressed concern about the speed at which traffic travels through The Midlands. Please can we appeal to drivers to exercise care, especially on the two sharp bends at either end of the road where numerous ‘near misses’ have been witnessed.
The Parish Council undertake a survey of all footpaths in Holt every year, this ensures that we have evidence of existence and also that maintenance issues are reported to the relevant authority where they cannot be dealt with on a local basis. We will soon be commencing the 2016 walks (see the footpaths section of this website for previous year’s results). If you are a regular walker or would like to explore the wonderful countryside and would be willing to help us please use the Contact the Parish Council tab and we will give you further details of how to participate.
The results of the Annual Holt Footpath Survey can be found on the Footpaths page of this website.
The Parish Council will be walking all the footpaths in Holt over the summer holidays – this is to ensure that they remain open and accessible. The Ramblers are also undertaking a national FPath survey which you can get involved in and help report any problems. Further details of The Big Pathwatch can be found here
